Apostolate
Teaching truths of the Faith In keeping with our Dominican vocation we endeavour to pass on to others the fruits of our contemplation. This we do through the teaching and proclamation of Christian Doctrine. In response to the needs of modern society, we choose to undertake a variety of works. From our Priory we hold retreats and days of prayer and catechetics. We also visit parishes and groups around the country working with adults, youth and children. This includes student chaplaincies, catechetical groups, prayer groups, confirmation groups and parish missions. A summer youth group (Fanning the Flame) takes place annually in the grounds of our Priory and is organised and run by the Sisters.

Our conventual way of life with its rhythm of prayer and ongoing study, supports the doctrinal instruction and spiritual formation which we pass on in the apostolate.

Retreats St Dominic's Priory is open most of the year to receive retreatants and visitors. We have several guest rooms and facilities for individuals or groups who come to us. The Sisters lead days of reflection and retreats. We are also available for those who wish to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and join our rhythm of prayer through the day.

Fanning the Flame This is an organisation begun by the Sisters. It is an initiative developing from our work with young people around the country.
Through it local pastors, parents and other adults are involved in the ongoing spiritual formation of their children and youth. The Sisters organize and animate various camps and meetings throughout the year.
